How and when to apply for accommodation
You can only apply online for accommodation when you have been made an offer of a place to study here for 2012/13 and you have accepted this offer. This means
- you have accepted a conditional offer as your firm choice
- you have accepted a conditional offer as your insurance choice
- you have accepted an unconditional offer as your firm choice
- you have accepted an unconditional offer as your insurance choice
- you are a returning student
- you have applied previously and have a deferred place
If you change your offer status from insurance to first choice you need to contact us.
Late applications and those which are a result of clearing or insurance choices cannot be guaranteed allocation where demand is high. In exceptional circumstances applications will be referred to our expertly organised househunting events .
New students
You can now apply for accommodation for 2012/13 entry if you meet the above criteria. To apply, please complete the application process that is relevant to you – see the section below.
Current students
You can still apply to return to halls. However, as the deadline for returning applications has now passed your application will be treated as low priority and we are unable to guarantee to meet your preferences.
Application process
