Leading professor to head up new education institute

Graduates who earn more play more
Nearly one year on from London 2012, sports economists from Sheffield Hallam have shown for the first time that graduates who participated in sport at university earn an average £5,824 (18%) more per year than their non-sporting counterparts. Read more

A revolutionary website has been created by a former Sheffield Hallam student. WhichPropertyAgent.co.uk is the first ever site that allows property owners to compare estate agents and find the most suitable one to sell or rent out their properties. Read more

Mass spectrometry conference success
Former and present Sheffield Hallam students gave talks at the recent mass spectrometry imaging meeting run by the Biomedical Research Centre. This year the conference was organised in conjunction with the British Mass Spectrometry Society (BMSS) MALDI and the Imaging Special Interest Group. The joint meeting took place on 10 April 2013 in Hallam Hall. Read more

SHU fought to defend its title of 'Varsity Champion' following 10 successive wins
Varsity 2013 was the 17th annual sporting tournament between the two rival Sheffield universities and remains the biggest sporting event of their year. The competition consisted of 40 sports, with over 60 fixtures played at 23 city-wide venues. Read more
