The challenge

Earth Tech wanted to strengthen its employees' current abilities through training and communication of ideas and strategies, and to develop key staff for future expansion into other markets.

What we did

The team at our Centre for Individual and Organisational Development (CIOD), part of Sheffield Business School, devised a two-year training programme, covering a range of topics including

• strategy  
• change management
• issues surrounding management versus leadership
• coaching and mentoring
• finance
• corporate social responsibility
• marketing

The programme was tailor-made to Earth Tech's needs, in close consultation with their human resources team.

CIOD has a strong commitment to working with companies to provide bespoke, in-company learning to meet their needs, to enhance staff skills with tailored tutoring, and were a natural choice for Earth Tech to work on this wide-ranging strategic programme.

The results

30 of Earth Tech's key staff benefited from the training programme, which covered bespoke workshops in the tourism and retail industry sectors.
