2013 clearing and confirmation
What is clearing?
If you haven't previously applied to university, clearing is a way for you to apply for a place on an undergraduate course starting this September.
If you've applied and you miss your expected grades, clearing gives you another chance to take up a place at university. It can also offer options if you want to change your choice of university or course. Read our FAQs for more details about this process.
Caitlin got a place to study at Sheffield Hallam through clearing last year. Watch her story.
