Our final year students will be hosting a catwalk event during Creative Spark. Come and see the work of our enthusiastic, innovative and ambitious future fashion designers.

Encompass - Engineering for Life Project Exhibition

11 -14 June 2012, Hallam Hall, Owen building

Displaying cutting edge research projects developed by interdisciplinary research teams from the arts and sciences as part of Sheffield Hallam University's Engineering for Life Project. Whether your interests lie in the science of lower back pain therapies, the use of animation to bridge the generation gap or sport inspired art you will find an engaging exhibit exploring the project, the challenges and the successes of the quality research taking place at Sheffield Hallam University.

Architecture Degree Show

14 -28 June 2012, Owen building atrium, City Campus

This annual exhibition showcases drawings, models, installations and innovative ideas from architecture and architectural technology students. The exhibition celebrates the creativity, hard work and successes of students and staff in the Architecture and Planning Department.

Architecture at Sheffield Hallam University

  • We are a Royal Institute of British Architects validated school of architecture offering part 1 and part 2 courses.
  • The architectural technology courses are validated by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and in 2012 received the prestigious and pioneering CIAT Centre of Excellence status.
  • Our students are regularly winners of national and international awards, including • the annual CIAT awards • RIBA White Rose student medals • first prize at the 2012 Educate International Student Award of Sustainability in a ceremony held in Rome.

Games Britannia

2 - 8 July 2012, Magna, Rotherham

Games Britannia (2-8 July) is the UK's biggest videogames education and careers festival. It comprises seven days of workshops, activities and keynotes, celebrating and inspiring the next generation of British videogame talent.

Targeted at children aged from 5-18, Games Britannia draws children into programming, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as art, English, music and creativity through the engagement, fun and excitement of videogames. The Games Britannia: REPLAYED part of the week (7-8) sees the festival open its doors.

Games Britannia is organised by a partnership including Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Sheffield Hallam University, Brinsworth Comprehensive School Academy Trust, Replay Events and UK Interactive Entertainment. The festival is backed by industry companies including Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Sumo-Digital.
