'My experience with Venture Matrix has enhanced my employment prospects greatly as the skills I have gained will be desired by employers. Having worked with BBC Radio Sheffield shows that I was given a degree of responsibility and worked on an important project with a reputable organisation.'
Hannah Robinson, second year student. -
'The Venture Matrix is a brilliant way for students to understand the concepts of working in a real business environment. It offers great experience and the skills gained are invaluable, which will only help when securing a graduate job.'

'When I was being interviewed for my placement job, my experiences within the Venture Matrix were really valuable, as the interviewer was really interested in the Venture Matrix and the skills we had developed through our venture, especially the team work elements. I think the Venture Matrix has played a big part in me getting the job.'
Colin Hughes, final year student. -
'Since working within the Venture Matrix on an external opportunity with the national organisation Skills for Justice, I have gone on to set up my own business focussing on film and media advertising. The skills learnt and the experience gathered has been a real help when starting up my business, not only did it allow me to stand against real trading companies but it also opened doors for me through the relationships I'd developed networking in the Venture Matrix'
Tom Pumford, Sheffield Hallam graduate. -
'Being involved in the Venture Matrix has given me real life examples to talk about in interviews for both placement and graduate jobs. I got a graduate job with TeachFirst recently and used examples of the work I did in the Venture Matrix for my application form and interview. The interviewers were really impressed and said it made my application stand out from the crowd, which is what you need in a busy job market. The Venture Matrix is a brilliant opportunity.'
Rachel Arthur, returning placement student -
'We were delighted with the quality of the work which exceeded our expectations. The Venture Matrix group demonstrated the ability to meet deadlines, and to communicate in a very easy to understand manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending any member of the team to undertake a similar project'
Gordon Macrae, special projects manager, Gripple (a Sheffield based advanced manufacturer)
