We are offering an exciting opportunity for students studying BSc Information Technology at Vidyalankar School of Information Technology to apply for admission to the final year of our BSc (Honours) Software Development at Sheffield Hallam University.

Software development is about developing software and systems using state-of-the-art tools and techniques. The course emphasises the balance between theory and practice to support the specification, design, implementation and evaluation of software-based systems. It incorporates British Computer Society guidelines.

As a graduate from this course you will have gained a substantial amount of knowledge and the practical skills to develop fit-for-purpose software systems using the latest software engineering methods.

An important part of your academic study is based on professional development. This gives you an understanding of some of the legal, ethical and professional issues which face modern IT practitioners. You learn to work in a team and act as a professional.

Entry Requirements

  • To have completed year one and two of BSc IT at Vidyalankar School of Information Technology with an average mark of 55% or above for each year
  • Minimum TOEFL score of 213 on the computer-based examination or a minimum IELTS score of 6.0

The fees for the course in 2008-09 are £8,700
