Education

We offer supervision for MPhil/PhD students to research full-time or part-time in areas covered by our research groups. These groups are organised around the research activities of the individual staff members and subject strengths. Currently our staff research activities are in

There is also a professional doctorate leading to the award of EdD Doctorate in Education. This is a part-time programme which only recruits every two years. The first two years are taught on weekends, six times each year. Then you undertake original research for a dissertation which is examined in the same way as the PhD.

As a research student in education, you may have link with Centre for Education and Inclusion Research. The Centre has been successful in attracting considerable funds from outside agencies and research organisations and staff have a strong record of publication.
