Travel and accommodation
The conference takes place at Sheffield Hallam University's city centre campus, and there are a wide range of hotels nearby. Discounted rates are available using the booking codes in the Conference 21 brochure.
Travelling by public transport
The South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) can provide information on local buses and trams, including times, fares and park and ride services. Contact the Traveline on 01709 515151 for more information. Details of Supertram routes, times and fares can be found on the Supertram website. The train and bus stations are five minutes walk from the city campus.
To get the the meeting venue from the station
Registration is in the atrium on level 2 of the Owen Building.
On leaving Sheffield station, cross over the road at the pedestrian crossing directly outside the station. To your right there is a sloping walkway that leads to the entrance to the Sheffield Hallam University Eric Mensforth and Sheaf Buildings. Go up the steps that run between the buildings and head towards the main campus building which is directly ahead. The atrium, where the reception will be held, is through the double doors at the top of the stairs.
Alternatively, enter Sheffield Hallam University through the main entrance in the Owen Building (level 5), which is situated at the top of Howard Street. Walk past the main reception area (on your left) to the lifts and go down to Level 2. This will bring you to the atrium reception area.
Travelling by car
Please visit the Sheffield Hallam University website for a map and directions to the venue. On-street parking is extremely limited and travelling to Sheffield by train is a much easier option.
