Child Health Issues

This extended workshop will be delivered by staff from Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and will focus on a number of children's health issues, including:
- urinary tract infections and constipation
- paediatric allergies and intolerances
- eczema and common paediatric skin conditions
- behaviour and mental health problems including ADHD and Aspergers.
Attendance at this forum is free for practice nursing staff and charged at £30 payable upon arrival at the event for GPs.

Avoiding a trip to A&E - front line paediatric medicine for general practice

This extended workshop will be delivered by Edward Snelson of Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and will focus on a number of emergency children's health issues, including:
- overview of assessing children in a primary care setting
- tips, tricks and pitfalls for common conditions, including wheezy babies, febrile children and feeding and growing problems in the under 1yr olds.

Primary care management of common gastrointestinal problems

This extended workshop will be delivered by Mr Keith Chapple, Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and invited gastrointestinal physicians and surgeons and will focus on a number of issues, including:
- irritable bowel syndrome
- rectal bleeding
- constipation
- gastro-oesophageal reflex disease.
