Centre for Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education
The Centre for Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education is part of the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at Sheffield Hallam University. It was established in partnership with the NHS Yorkshire and The Humber and the Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery.
The Centre delivers quality assured education and training to meet the changing requirements of GPs, consultants, junior doctors and dentists.
We provide
- continuing professional development for consultants and GPs to help deliver new skills and maintain good practice
- key skills to junior doctors and dentists in training
- varied and quality assured training and assessment through the use of work-based assessment tools
- distance learning courses, allowing maximum study flexibility
- formal structured training programmes leading to postgraduate certificate, diploma, and degree qualifications
The courses are designed and delivered by a team of highly experienced and senior medical professionals and academics, working in partnership to provide innovative education which meets the requirements of modernising the medical and dental workforce.
