Directions to the University
The University's City Campus is immediately opposite both the train and bus station in Sheffield.
From the train station
- leave the station and walk up the sloping walkway, with the large metal fountain on your right
- cross the pedestrian crossings and continue straight on up the slope (Howard Street)
- at the top you will see the University's main entrance on your right
From the bus station (Transport Interchange)
- walk down Pond Street in the direction of the train station.
- turn right immediately after the Howard pub, and continue up the slope (Howard Street)
- at the top you will see the University's main entrance on your right
If you arrive after 6pm (18:00)
- University security staff and porters at halls of residence remain at the University throughout the night. They are aware that some international students will arrive late.
- when you reach the main University entrance, ring the buzzer on the right-hand side of the doors
- our security staff will help you with your luggage and order a taxi to take you to your accommodation. Alternatively, you can get a taxi outside the train and bus stations, if you know the address of your accommodation
- the next day, come to the Meet and Greet desk to tell us you arrived safely
