Meet our people

Linda Ngomesia, Cameroon
MA Banking and Finance
On my first day at the University, everybody was really kind and welcoming. Before I came to the UK, I knew the weather would be cold and this made me think the people would be too. I was surprised and happy to find this wasn't the case at all - the people are the best thing about Sheffield.
It has always been my dream to study in the UK because British education has such a good reputation all over the world. The course is well structured so you know what is expected of you from the start. This is very helpful, especially when you are used to a different educational culture.

Sheffield Hallam University supports international students in many ways. I could attend free English language courses and ask for help with my assignments. Also, the International Student Support Team provides many activities to help you meet new people and make friends.
I live in University accommodation and have made lots of friends from all over the world there. I'm having such a good time in my household - we have a house party every week and we share the cooking of our food. I feel like we are family.
