Meet our people

Mikhail Myasin
BSc (Hons) International Hospitality Business Management
The course seemed directly relevant to what I wanted to do. Sheffield Hallam also has a good reputation amongst hospitality employers.
The first time I came to the University, I found it quite difficult to find my way around because it was so huge! The university campus is very modern, and has many facilities.
I currently live in student accommodation arranged by the University called Leadmill Point. I share my flat with 5 other students. I quite like living there because it is close to both the University and the city centre.

Andrey Belogortsev
BSc (Hons) International Hospitality Business Management
I chose to take up a course at Sheffield Hallam University, due to its excellent level of hospitality teaching, wide range of facilities, relevant final year modules and convenient location.
Apart from the actual course, the university also offered me other opportunities to develop my personality. I joined the Enterprise Centre and IBM (Universities Business Challenge) to develop my business and personal skills.
In terms of career, Sheffield Hallam is one of the few universities which organises various fairs and presentations by companies such as Marriott, Accor, Starwood Hotels and Resorts. These gave me the opportunity to meet potential employers face to face.

Natalia Levicheva
MSc International Marketing
I was afraid that English language would be my main problem, but my fears disappeared when I found that there is language support and students have many opportunities to improve their English by booking appointments with a teacher or going to free language support course.
In my spare time I participated in International student events such as visiting Peak District Park, Conversation club, international club parties and I had a lot of fun! Now I know I have gained new valuable experience and studying in UK opened doors to many things including great career and travelling round the world!
