Meet our people

Abdul Ravees
MSc Pharmacology and Biotechnology
I was delighted to know that Sheffield Hallam University provides a January 2009 intake for my subject of interest. I was impressed by the modules so I applied for the course, and I was surprised when Sheffield Hallam processed my application within three days.
I like Sheffield as compared to other places in the UK, its very green, there is no pollution, there are less people and its a peaceful place. I feel secure in Sheffield, I am enjoying my course and having a great time meeting new people.

Maheshi Korathota
MSc Enterprise Systems Professional
I came with a group of people and the University arranged to collect us from the airport on arrival. It was very helpful and allowed me to have a certain level of confidence, despite this being the first time I travelled without my parents.
I chose MSc Enterprise Systems Professional as it is incorporated with SAP. I had SAP training and ORACLE training which gave me a professional qualification. I applied for a professional job last month and I was selected for the second stage.

Yogeetha Lokumanna
BA (Hons) Banking
I'm really happy with how the course is going so far and I think it will equip me well to work in the financial services sector. The best thing about Sheffield is definitely the opportunity to go out at night and socialise - I've had so many opportunities to make new friends and meet people.
My top tip to students thinking of coming here is that you should make sure that your English is good enough to communicate well before you come. I think that if you can communicate well in English your experience will be easier and more enjoyable.
