International Marketing

I was impressed with the graduate course of International Marketing at Sheffield Hallam University. The website provided me with a good picture about the standard of education at Sheffield Hallam as well as life in Sheffield, which helped me make my decision to seek admission.

Sheffield Hallam provides a world class educational environment with expert faculties, advanced teaching materials, computing and internet facilities and the state of the art library with a wide range of books. The faculty members are highly qualified and actively engaged with research activities. It makes them capable to deliver lectures with real life examples.

MSc Web and Cloud Computing

I was working in HR for international IT company IBM in India and I knew that Cloud Computing was an area which companies were looking to grow. I met with representatives from Sheffield Hallam at an education fair and they were very positive and helpful.

With the tutors, it's not just about the teaching. The tutors are really approachable and you can talk to them about anything. In India, the tutors are on one level and the students on another. But at Sheffield Hallam, it is really positive that you can chat with tutors as well as respect and learn from them.

I have been most impressed with the faculty. There is a great balance between teaching and industry knowledge. There are people who are currently researching and writing within this field. They are learning the latest developments as they teach us so it could not be more up-to-date.

Cloud Computing is a new area that many international businesses are looking to invest in. It is really an emerging trend and there are few universities that are offering specific courses.

MBA

After considerable research I found that Sheffield Hallam University stood out amongst the universities I had short-listed.

I can confidently say that the University has exceeded my expectations. The friendly people and the exciting social life have left me spellbound. The university played its part by assisting me every step of the way in finding a place to stay.

Right from the Meet and Greet service to arranging trips to York and Manchester, the University has done everything possible to help international students like myself feel at home.

MSc Biotechnology

I found the Transform Together Scholarship online after I heard from friends what is was like to study at Sheffield Hallam University. They had told me it was a really good place to study and so I applied. I had also been offered a scholarship in Pakistan but it was the course and the facilities at Sheffield Hallam that really impressed me.

I had already studied for a BSc in Biotechnology in Pakistan at the University of Peshawar and I wanted to expand on what I had learned. I looked at the modules in the Biotechnology course here and it really appealed to what I wanted.

It is a very impressive course. I like how everything is linked so that everything we are taught is focused in a particular direction. It is not just one piece of information here and another there, it combines information to give a strong focus so that you learn everything you need to become a good scientist and researcher.

I want to work really hard at Sheffield Hallam and aim for distinctions in my course. I would then like to stay here to do a PhD.

MSc Web and Cloud Computing

My elder brother did his bachelor's degree at Sheffield Hallam and got a job in the UK right away, plus the good reputation of the University in the IT sector made me decide to do my master's degree here too.

The content of the course is really up-to-date and pretty synchronised with what's happening in the market right now, and University instructors are contributing continuously to the research in my course. Sheffield Hallam University provides you with the best facilities and resources that a student could acquire during his term-time.

Sheffield Hallam is a whole package. The main concern is the course and the University provides the best resources to students, e.g. instructors, IT facilities, library and study content.

The Career and Employment Centre arranges a lot of workshops for nourishing professional and study skills, they help you build your CV and arrange mock interviews which helped me a lot finding jobs in Sheffield.

MSc IT and Management

Sheffield Hallam University has a wide range of postgraduate courses that are very job orientated and career focused. They provide professional certification and have practical courses. This was one of the major factors that led to me choosing to study here.

I was concerned that I did not know anyone and would be moving to live in a new place and a new culture. I was also worried to be leaving my family and I had never even stayed in a hostel before. I share my accommodation with five other students and I made lots of international friends while I have been studying.

MSc Pharmacology and Biotechnology

I was delighted to know that Sheffield Hallam University provides a January 2009 intake for my subject of interest. I was impressed by the modules so I applied for the course, and I was surprised when Sheffield Hallam processed my application within three days.

I like Sheffield as compared to other places in the UK, its very green, there is no pollution, there are less people and its a peaceful place. I feel secure in Sheffield, I am enjoying my course and having a great time meeting new people.
