Sheffield Hallam University prides itself on working in partnership with our local health and social care communities.

The Nursing and Midwifery Department at Sheffield Hallam University is one of the largest providers of nurse education in the UK. You will be working with a large, vibrant community of academics, practitioners and researchers with a commitment to providing high quality, research informed teaching, to ensure active learning.

If you are passionate about Nursing and Nurse Education in Mental Health and you would like to make a difference to patient and client care then we would love to hear from you.

This post involves a broad academic remit including teaching, supporting students and scholarly activities across the pre and post registration programmes offered within the Department.

You must have an honours degree, current NMC registration and evidence of on-going professional development. You will have well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues to your relevant field of nursing, as well as the ability to inspire, motivate and connect with a range of partners including students and external clients from a range of different backgrounds.

Our employment package includes generous holiday entitlements, a pension scheme and other staff benefits such as wellbeing initiatives, child care vouchers, development and training courses and assorted staff discounts.

If you are offered this post you will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.
