The Department of Allied Health professionals are currently seeking a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer to join the Paramedic course team in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at Sheffield Hallam University.
Your role will involve contribution to the Diploma Higher Education in Paramedic Practice and also the interprofessional elements across the Faculty. You will also have the opportunity to undertake funded postgraduate study to gain the award of Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching. You will be involved in all aspects of lecturing including preparation, tuition, assessment and supporting students in placements. In addition, you will be expected to undertake administrative duties as required of course delivery and to work closely with a dedicated team of seven other Paramedic and ECP Lecturers.
Sheffield Hallam University has new teaching facilities including practice skills suite and high-tech clinical simulation equipment. This is an exciting and challenging post that would allow you the opportunity to be at the forefront of the development of the profession and be involved in wider Faculty projects and research.
You will be a HCPC registered practitioner with a good honours degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience in a relevant discipline. Evidence of ongoing professional development is also essential.
You must have the ability to inspire, motivate and connect with a range of stakeholders e.g. students and external clients from a range of different backgrounds and have well developed and current knowledge and critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to paramedic practice. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team and manage and complete all administrative duties associated with the role.
