The Student Management Team within Corporate Systems provides support to the applications and processes which manage the student journey from enrolment through to graduation and beyond. The team is made up of analysts and specialists with complementary skills spanning SQL, SITS configuration (our student records management system) as well as various programming languages and associated methodologies.

You will be a highly motivated individual with a professional work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also be able to learn new technologies and tools, be confident and meticulous in your work and able to work across team boundaries to ensure customer focussed results. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Experience of working within the Higher Education sector will be an advantage but is not essential. Understanding of working within structured project management frameworks including PRINCE2 and a foundation level ITIL qualification is also desirable but not essential.

You will often need to explain technical subjects to colleagues outside of your business area who don't have the same technical expertise as you. For this reason, excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are essential, as is the proven ability to work collaboratively within a project team.

We see this as an ideal opportunity for someone with skills and experience in system support to take the next step. Applications are also welcomed from employees who seek and gain approval to undertake the role as a secondment opportunity.

In return, we offer a range of excellent benefits including 25 days annual leave, plus 14 additional leave days (including bank holidays), flexitime, childcare vouchers, and a pension scheme.
