The Careers and Employment Team are looking for a Student Employment Coordinator to lead our on-campus, Student Employment activities and build relationships with local and regional employers of students.
This is a varied and exciting role working across the whole University from within the Careers and Employment Service. You will make a significant contribution to student employability and improve the student experience by enhancing part-time employment activities for students. You will also build excellent relationships with key local employers of students.
You will manage, motivate and develop the Student Employment Team, setting objectives and ensuring targets are met. You will also plan and co-ordinate a number of large student employment events and workshops taking place on campus throughout the year. You will be required to work effectively with colleagues in the HR Directorate on student employment related matters and support and promote the service Customer Relationship Management System working closely with IT colleagues.
You must have experience of taking operational responsibility for delivering a service to a wide range of clients including managing staff. Knowledge and understanding of the employability agenda in higher education and the implications on service delivery is essential to the role. You must be able to prioritise own work and that of the team, work flexibly and meet deadlines.
