Benefits of working for us
With your wellbeing and welfare in mind, we offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
Annual leave
We offer generous holiday entitlements - annual leave entitlement is a minimum of 25 days (pro rata if you work part-time) and rises depending on staff group and grade.
In addition to the eight standard UK bank holidays, six extra statutory days are provided for extended University closure around some UK public/holidays.
Flexible working
We understand the need for a good work-life balance. We therefore support and operate a number of flexible working schemes including job-share and flexible working hours where applicable.
Pay
We also operate an incremental grade structure. This means you will be eligible to receive an annual increment (subject to satisfactory performance) until you reach the maximum salary for your grade.
Pension schemes
Our defined benefit pension schemes are a real asset to your peace of mind. You can join either the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS), or remain in the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) if you are a current member.
Maternity, paternity and adoption leave
Depending on your length of service, we offer maternity and adoption pay, above statutory levels. We have an on site nursery run by qualified staff. To help you with the cost of your childcare, we also run a childcare voucher scheme.
