Full time
Salary £20,764 to £24,049 per annum, dependent on experience

Due to an increased student demand The Faculty of Arts, Computing, Engineering and Science is seeking to appoint a Media Technician in the Creative Media Team, to support the day-to-day work of students and staff.

You will be required to undertake maintenance and issuing of equipment; help support the TV, Radio and performance studios, and pc/mac labs; assist Lecturers with the setup and preparation of classes and demonstrate the use of equipment and facilities. Good working knowledge of professional audio and visual equipment and an understanding of current media production work flows is therefore essential.

The post offers opportunities for assisting in the realisation of imaginative and sometimes unusual work, with undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students, and consultancy projects. The ability to undertake work individually and also the ability to work effectively as part of the Creative Media Technical Team is essential.

As you are working closely with students and staff, often being the first line of contact, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with conflicting demands and deadlines and have good communication skills.

In return, we offer a range of excellent benefits including 25 days annual leave, plus 14 additional leave days (including bank holidays), flexitime, childcare vouchers, and a pension scheme.
