Issued:02/05/13

Terry Hunt from the Association for Contemporary Jewellers and Maria Hanson, reader in metalwork and jewellery at Sheffield Hallam University, talk about 'STAIN-LESS', the new jewellery exhibition at the Sheffield Institute of Arts gallery.

The exhibition is part of the Galvanize Sheffield festival of contemporary metal, and celebrates the centenary of steel. The exhibition includes jewellery and body adornment in a variety of materials - precious and non-precious - using old and new technologies.

Maria's piece, 'Tags', represents the last 100 years in the form of dog-tags or price-tags, and examines the number of years that the UK has been involved in military conflict during that time.

The 'STAIN-LESS' exhibition is open to the public from Friday 3 May to Friday 24 May.
