Organisations success depends on a blend of strategic business knowledge, operational expertise, a business process orientation, effective change management, and an astute awareness of information management and the expanding capabilities of technology.

The course is focused on the core business knowledge and skills needed to provide successful all round solutions to business problems which are both strategic and operational. It improves your employability by offering you the opportunity to undertake a SAP qualification.

It gives you the specialist knowledge, skills, and experience of strategic operation management. There is now a growing need for managers and consultants who can excel in these areas and can manage across the organisation.

This course is suitable if you are

• a graduate in a business or management discipline aiming to increase your knowledge and skills before starting a career in strategic operations management

• an IT graduate aiming to develop your soft skills and business support knowledge in strategic operations management

• a business professional with a solid understanding of core business and management concepts wanting to deepen your knowledge and skills in strategic operations management and business process management

The course has strong links with our industry partners including the European Business Process Management User Group, The Open Group, SAP and SAP University Alliances. They inform the delivery of the cutting edge business process management (BPM) module.

You have the option of pursuing the SAP training leading to the SAP Certified Associate (BPX – Business Process Expert) status. The SAP training is completed using our IT facilities whilst you are an enrolled student with the University.

For those who wish to pursue a specialist career in the SAP area there are opportunities to pursue other SAP certifications, for example SAP TERP10.

Successfully completing this course gives you the expertise to be a business and technically-oriented professional. You gain an in-depth strategic operations management knowledge and a management focused knowledge of ERP systems, in particular SAP.

You know how to apply your learning and business process skills to a range of operational issues, enabling you to help fill the skills gap in operations and process management and contribute to the development of strategic operations in both service and manufacturing organisations.

You have the option of completing the leading industry qualification offered by SAP, for an additional heavily discounted fee.
