About this course
This course is designed for International students only and is suitable for you if you have an HND such as business finance, financial services or business accounting, or you have completed the Edexcel BTEC level 5 diploma in banking and finance. It enables you to convert your existing qualification to an honours degree.
It improves your banking and investment knowledge, and your communication and teamwork skills through a range of different assessments and projects.
You study four core modules and two additional modules. The additional modules you study depend on your entry qualification.
Some of the modules on this course may exempt you from certain professional examinations.
Associated careers
This course enables you to develop specialist knowledge and skills in banking and finance. It opens up many career opportunities in areas such as banking and the financial services industry.
Past banking and finance graduates have been employed by investment and retail banks. Some have gone onto graduate training schemes or accountancy training contracts.

Core modules

You study four core modules and two additional modules depending on your entry qualifications. If you have
• an IELTS score of 6.0 you study English for academic purposes, and professional skills
• completed the Edexcel BTEC level 5 diploma in banking and finance or have an IELTS score of at least 6.5, you study two international banking and investment modules

Applications are considered on a case by case basis. However, you must be an International applicant and typically have
• HND with an overall merit profile or above in business finance, financial services or business accounting
• a foundation degree with 120 credits in each year with an overall mark of 55% or higher in a finance or accounting related area
• Edexcel level 5 BTEC in banking and finance with an overall merit grade
• a relevant professional qualification
If English is not your first language you need an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill.
