All applicants need GCSE mathematics and English language at grade C or above. We will consider applicants who are in the process of obtaining the relevant GCSEs.

For the PGCE you need,

• a degree (2:2 or above) in a field related to but not entirely focused on design and technology, such as architecture, graphic design, engineering, manufacturing or art and design. DfE funding and support is currently available for successful applicants who possess a 2.2 degree or above (or equivalent).

For entry in 2013 onwards there will be national pre-entry tests in literacy and numeracy.

Graduates with relevant experience, but degrees in non-related fields could be considered in exceptional circumstances.

We consider each application on its merits. Interviews are part of the selection process for this course. As you will be working with children, you will be required to complete a declaration of criminal convictions and health check forms.

We welcome applications from people seeking a career change, and we actively encourage applications from those groups under-represented in teacher education, in order to ensure that the teaching profession represents the diverse nature of contemporary UK society.

International students must also have an IELTS score of 6.5 with 5.5 in all skills.
