This course helps you learn more about how to use English language in preparation for your university study.
You improve your use of language in writing assessments and exams, reading course books, listening to lectures and speaking in seminars. You also improve your use of English grammar and develop your study skills.
During the course, you write a project on you own area of study and regularly attend a university lecture in English.
Your pre-sessional lecturer will actively encourage you to work together and expect you to use English at all times in class, and as much as possible outside of class. As part of your preparation for your future studies, we teach you to organise your own independent study time to help you study successfully in the UK system.
Your lecturer will give you advice about how to improve in important areas – such as grammar, listening, writing, vocabulary – so you can develop them during your independent study time.
Every year we help over 1,000 students from 190 countries develop their English language skills.
