We designed this course to meet the needs of change agents, managers, and internal and external consultants. It is ideal for people with a professional responsibility for developing and implementing change processes.

You develop a self critical awareness of current developments. We encourage you to think about the nature of change and the value of consultancy approaches in managing it.

Each module consists of workshops which combine interactive lectures, practical skills development, small group work and informal presentations to develop confidence in your own capabilities. Support materials are presented through BlackBoard, our virtual learning environment.

The course helps you
• gain and develop specialist knowledge, understanding and skills in organisation development
• learn about new theories, ideas and concepts about organisation development and the nature of change
• learn how to develop practical ways of implementing those theories, ideas and concepts in the workplace, as a manager or consultant

After successfully completing your studies, you learn to
• think creatively and produce solutions to meet organisational and managerial requirements in change processes and organisation development
• develop a deeper understanding of the social and technical design of organisations and of the importance of change
• develop a deeper understanding of the strategy, change and the dynamics of consultancy

This course is part of the MSc Organisational Change and Consultancy programme. The other awards are MSc Coaching and Mentoring, MSc Charity Resource Management and MSc Co-operative and Social Enterprise Management.
