What are multimedia technologies?
Multimedia technologies cover multimedia tools and applications and how they are used in modern environments including virtual reality.

This course

If you already have an appropriate HND or foundation degree in an IT or computing-related area, this course offers you the chance to gain an honours degree through one year of full-time study.

You build on the knowledge and skills you have already gained across a range of computing themes, with a particular focus on advanced multimedia applications and internet creativity. Examples of projects you can work on include • 3D graphics • virtual reality software • animation • mash-up development • audio visual production.

You develop your technical IT skills and awareness of professional issues as well as the interpersonal skills you need to become an effective computing professional.

The course has been designed in consultation with industrial partners to meet the specific needs of these employers so you can be sure your studies are up to date with the needs of business. Our partners also contribute real-world case studies for you to work on to give you a unique perspective into the issues faced in the industry.
