This course

This course is based on the final year of our BSc (Honours) Events Management with Arts and Entertainment. It allows you to top up your current qualifications to honours degree level.

You can apply for this course if you have a • higher national diploma • foundation degree • equivalent in a relevant subject.

The events and leisure industries are an important part of cultural and business activity in the UK and overseas. They include many private, public and voluntary organisations. This course meets the increasing demand for graduates with management skills in planning and organising events.

This course prepares you for a career in events management but with a specialism in arts and entertainment events such as music festivals and music promotion.

You study events theory, policy and practice integrated with business management.

An important part of your work involves projects and business simulation. Through these, you experience planning and managing a range of events including • concerts • festivals • corporate events • weddings.

Your learning involves taking part in seminars, workshops and projects in our modern facilities at City Campus.

The course focuses on the events industry, but the broader analytical and personal skills you develop are applicable to many careers.

International award
You can also complete an international version of this qualification which places greater emphasis on the global events industry.
