This course

This course is based on the final year of our BSc (Honours) Tourism Management. It allows you to top up your current qualifications to honours degree level.

You can apply for this course if you have a • higher national diploma • foundation degree • equivalent in a relevant subject.

This course gives you one of the broadest career ranges in tourism management. It allows you to understand and learn about many areas in the industry before making your career choice, such as • airlines • tour operators • tourism media • public or private sector. It’s also a popular route for a tourism teaching career.

The main themes include
• the tourism industry
• contemporary tourism markets and consumer trends
• tourism and the environment
• destination management and marketing

You investigate policy and planning dimensions of tourism and study tourism and the media. You also carry out an independent project or investigation into a topic of your choice.
