About this course

This course is suitable if you have an HND or equivalent in business, finance, accounting or financial services. It improves your knowledge, skills and career prospects, and enables you to convert your existing qualification into an honours degree.

This course enables you to develop both general and specialist knowledge and skills in business and finance. It opens up many career opportunities in business areas such as accounting, finance, marketing and general management.

Entry requirements

2014 entry requirements

Applicants normally need one from
• a HND or foundation degree in a finance or accounting related area, with an overall merit profile from year two modules
• 120 year one and 120 year two credits, with an overall mark of 55 per cent or above, from a relevant degree or equivalent

If English is not your first language you need an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill. If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.0 we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score.

2013 entry requirements

Sheffield Hallam HND Business Management graduates or equivalent need at least a pass.
