Equipment
The BMRC currently has the following equipment. We offer training in all the instrumentation listed. Customers can also book time on our equipment with or without technical assistance, which is charged at an hourly rate*.

| GC | For separating and analysing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition |
| GC-MS | For separating and analysing compounds, the mass spectrometer components allows for identification of target molecules |
| GC-MS with probe for solid analysis | Can be used for the separation and identification of compounds in a solid sample |
| ICP-MS | For ion quantitation of solutions down to ppb levels |

| Ion chromatography | For separation of ions and polar molecules based on their charge, useful for halogen ion analysis which is not possible using the ICP systems |

| Microscopy suite | Our microscopy suite contains and Olympus fluorescent microscope, and inverted fluorescent microscope and a laser scanning confocal microscope. Can be used to analyse a variety of stained tissue, cell or bacterial samples |
