Background

Julia is a senior lecturer and has been course leader for the BA Metalwork and Jewellery since January 2008. As an academic area of study, Metalwork and Jewellery is an opportunity to explore different ways of thinking about the intimate relationship between people and objects.

Central to this exploration is innovation through hands-on making and the development of a personal dialogue with materials. Julia recognises the importance of nurturing the individual within a supportive community of learners and practitioners.
