Postgraduate research
CRESR has a highly successful PhD progranme and a thriving research environment, which was recognised in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. PhD supervision, which is undertaken by leading academics, is available across each of the centre's key areas of expertise:
- welfare reform and labour markets
- housing
- regeneration and community, including neighbourhood renewal
- voluntary and community sector
- community cohesion and migration
- vulnerable groups
- economic development
- measuring outcomes and impact
Our PhD programme is overseen by postgraduate tutor Ryan Powell, and there are currently 18 PhD students at CRESR studying a diverse range of topics. There are is a range of ways in which we actively support our students, find out more.
