Barry Goodchild is a reader and professor in the urban and regional studies subject area, where he also has responsibility for research leadership amongst academic staff.
Barry has contributed to numerous Anglo-French comparative studies, has worked for a wide variety of research clients in England, Scotland and France and has secured the publication of numerous articles in professional and academic journals.
Research interests
Barry has wide ranging research interests including
- theory development and application in housing and planning
- comparative, mostly Anglo-French comparisons of policy and practice in the housing and urban policy fields
- policy review and evaluation
