Ian Wilson is an economist and a research fellow in CRESR. He is a member of both the social economic regeneration and the data analysis and policy teams. Ian has worked on research and evaluation projects sponsored by a range of commissioning bodies, including communities and local government, the Home Office, the Scottish Executive, Yorkshire Forward, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), and the charity SCOPE.
Ian has recently finished working on the national evaluation of New Deal for Communities (NDC), on this project he took a lead in producing both the statistical analysis and an impact and value for money assessment of the programme. His research interests include the economic valuation and evaluation, volunteering and worklessness.
