Dr Kesia Reeve has been undertaking research in the field of housing for 10 years, during which time she has delivered and managed over 25 research projects for a range of organisations including the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), the Housing Corporation, the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), the Countryside Agency, the Social Exclusion Unit, Shelter, Crisis and various local authorities.
Much of Kesia's research activity has focused on groups experiencing disadvantage in the housing market, alongside a developing strand of work exploring immigration and social cohesion at the neighbourhood level. She has a long history of researching the experiences and needs of vulnerable and 'hard-to-reach' groups including hidden homeless populations, rough sleepers, people with mental ill health, and gypsies and travellers.
More recently, Kesia has been involved in a stream of work exploring the situations and experiences of new immigrants, and the relationship between new immigration, social cohesion and neighbourhood change.
Kesia has authored numerous policy orientated reports and articles in professional journals, as well as papers in peer-reviewed academic journals and edited books.
