Gender and diversity - WiSET
Ensuring that everyone has equal access to science education is something we pay a lot of attention to. Women have traditionally been under-represented in these areas, but WiSET (Women In Science, Engineering and Technology) aims to redress the balance.
Working with employers, learning providers, careers professionals, personal advisers and community organisations, as well as girls and women who are considering their education options or a career change, WiSET aims to
- encourage women and girls into science, engineering, technology and the built environment
- to increase rates of recruitment and retention, as well as progression of women
- to help meet the needs of the economy
