  • Education for Engineering
    How science contributes to young people’s understanding of engineering. (Projects: Engineering a better world: Engineering the curriculum: EngineeringScience)
  • Progression and engagement in STEM subjects, including STEM subject choice and careers
    Pupil-centered approaches to STEM education, motivating teaching and learning approaches (projects - Science upd8 suite of projects, cre8ate maths, Engineering a better world, Department for Children Schools and Families [DCSF] programme on STEM subject choice and careers)
  • Contemporary science contexts for learning
    Working with practicing scientists and engineers to develop teaching and learning approaches and public engagement/school experience schemes (Projects: Researchers in Residence, How Science Works, Spacelink)
  • Evaluation research and test-bed projects
