The Engineering of Sport 10
Welcome
The Centre for Sports Engineering Research welcomes the world to the 2014 Conference of the International Sports Engineering Association. The biennial conference is unquestionably the most significant scientific meeting in the field, and consistently attracts a truly international delegation of leading academic and industry researchers.
The 2014 conference will be the 10th edition in the series, and will mark somewhat of a homecoming as Sheffield host the conference once again, 18 years after Professor Steve Haake founded the ISEA.
Delegates will enjoy a hugely stimulating and enjoyable conference week. The scientific programme will provide the opportunity to discover and debate the latest developments in sports research, whilst the extensive social programme will provide unique experiences and help to foster friendships old and new.
Keynote speakers
We are very pleased to announce that Professor Steve Haake and Professor Mont Hubbard are confirmed keynote speakers. These two giants of sports engineering research were made ISEA Fellows in 2012 and their keynote presentations are sure to be conference highlights.
The scientific programme will include four keynote presentations, and three panel discussions. Speakers will be leading experts from industry and academia and full details will be announced in due course.
Venue
The conference will be held at the City Campus of Sheffield Hallam University in the splendid facilities around the award-winning Atrium. The venue is conveniently located opposite the railway station in the heart of the city, and is part of an impressive £100m development, with modern lecture theatres, seminar rooms, reception points and stylish hospitality areas.
