Alison is a sports physiotherapist in the Podium Performance team. Alison qualified as a physiotherapist many years ago in Glasgow and has a diploma in Academic and Practical Physiotherapy for Sport from the London Hospital. She has been working in sport since 1984 and was involved in the organisation of the physiotherapy service for the World Student Games in Sheffield in 1990.

Alison has worked with many national governing bodies including United Kingdom Athletics, the English Volleyball Association, British Volleyball Federation, swimming and diving. She has worked with elite sports people across a wide range of sports including track and field, volleyball, ice hockey, cycling, basketball, diving, competition climbing, and ice dance and is currently a consultant to the British Mountaineering Council competition climbing squads.

Alison specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has a particular interest and specialisation in injury reduction/performance, functional movement and rehabilitation. As part of the Podium Performance team, Alison works closely with strength and conditioning coaches, biomechanists and sports coaches.
