Research interests / current work
Liam's main interests are physical activity, health and behaviour change. He currently works as a research assistant on
- the effects of exercise upon health related quality of life and immune function in persons diagnosed with mild to moderate multiple sclerosis (MS)
- the effectiveness of 'booster' interventions to sustain increases in physical activity in middle aged adults
Liam also has an interest in workplace health and is a member of the SHU Wellness Team. Liam is currently studying MSc Physical Activity for Health and is completing his dissertation looking at increasing physical activity in the workplace.
Background
Liam completed his BSc (Hons) Health Related Exercise and Fitness from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006. From there Liam became a fitness instructor before moving to Sheffield Hallam University as a senior fitness instructor.
Liam's personal interests include water polo where he competes in the National League Division 2 for City of Sheffield WPC, football, cycling and surfing.
