Tim Vernon

Tim Vernon is a sport biomechanist and coordinator for the Zenjin Golf Performance team at Podium Performance. Tim completed an undergraduate degree in sport and exercise science at the University of Teeside, and a Masters degree in sport science at Sheffield Hallam University. Upon its completion, Tim joined CSES in 2001 as a sport science officer responsible for designing and delivering sport science programmes to a number of athletes across a range of different sports.

His main interests include the application of biomechanics techniques to the measurement of the golf swing and the integration of biomechanics and strength and conditioning. Tim has worked with a wide range of golfers, including players from the Men's and Ladies European tours, European Challenge Tour and the English Golf Union as well as many keen amateurs. Tim has also recently been appointed to the advisory board of the PGA European Tour Performance Institute. Outside of golf, Tim has worked with a variety of sports including figure skating, track and field, diving and rugby league.

Along side his consultancy work, Tim is also heavily involved in biomechanics research where he has performed investigations for clients such as The Consumer Association, The Football Association, Swiss Massai Ltd, Adidas and HD Sports.
