The Centre for Voluntary Sector Research at Sheffield Hallam University is an active participant in the UK-wide Voluntary Sector Studies Network (VSSN) and two of the current VSSN trustees are CVSR members.
We are also active in international in the field, especially through the International Society for Third Sector Research.Dr Gareth Morgan served for two years as Moderator of ISTR's specialist group for directors of third sector research centres throughout the world.
We also work closely with professional bodies linked to the voluntary sector. This includes the Institute of Fundraising, for whom we are one of the few universities approved to offer the Institute's Certificate in Fundraising Management and we were active in helping to establish the Association of Charity Independent Examiners (ACIE).
