Disability studies and inclusive education research
The Disability Studies and Inclusive Education Research and Scholarship Group is led by Nick Hodge and operates in partnership with the Disability Research Forum, led by Rebecca Mallett.
The two elements aim to provide supportive, enabling and gently challenging environments where scholars and researchers can share their ideas, seek feedback on papers in development, engage with new concepts and identify potential foci for research and scholarship.
A regular programme of seminar events is well established that is attended by staff, students and external researchers. Members of the group also contribute to a wide range of disability and inclusion events and networks throughout the University, nationally and internationally.
Current members include Ruth Barley, Dr Caroline Bath, Luke Beardon, Penny Borkett, Sue Chantler, Jill Collins, Wendy Cunnah, Karen Dunn, Colin Feltham, Dr Ros Garrick, Graham Grace-Gardener, Steve Jones, Julia Halpin, Alison Hall, Anne Kellock, Dr Manny Madriaga, Rebecca Mallett, John Rees, Dr Lisa Reidy, Lucy Shipton, Bernadette Stiell, Tom Andrews and Ian Woolsey.
