Previously employed within the Probation Service I joined Hallam in 2002 and became responsible for the BA (Hons) Community Justice (Probation) which provides the professional qualification route for probation officers.
In 2005 I moved into the Hallam Centre for Community Justice in order to assist in developing and managing the Centre's research and business development (RBD) and continuing professional development (CPD) portfolio.
Research interests
- the delivery of services to offenders; effective practice, programmes, evaluation frameworks, managerialism
- the relationship between legal and policy developments and the delivery of services within the community justice sector
- the integration of underpinning and overarching knowledge within offender management

- the criminal justice system
- legal and policy frameworks within criminal justice
- managerialism within the CJS
- the delivery of accredited programmes
- what works within criminal justice
