I joined Sheffield Hallam University in 2005 as a senior lecturer in social work. I have also been involved in social work education at Sheffield University and the Open University. My practice background is diverse - I have worked as a probation officer, an education manager for a Youth Offending Team, a primary school teacher and a project manager for Voluntary Action Sheffield.

I am currently writing a book entitled: Interprofessional Social Work Practice. This is due for publication by Palgrave Macmillan and the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) as part of the Practical Social Work series in 2010.
