B.Sc. B.Tech. M.Sc. PhD
Subodh graduated with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and did a further specialisation with Bachelors in Polymer Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, both affiliated to the University of Mumbai, India. A Masters in Polymers for Advanced Technology from the University of Sheffield and a PhD from Sheffield Hallam University followed before taking up a position as a researcher within the consultancy team at the Materials and Engineering Research Institute.
Subodh’s expertise is in the synthesis of chemically and physically crosslinked hydrogels. He has been involved in characterisation of polymers using vibrational spectroscopic and thermal techniques.
His areas of expertise include the analysis of polymers using Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR-FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and Differential Thermal Calorimetry (DSC).
He has been involved in working with companies within the Yorkshire and Humber region as part of the Innovation Futures project.
He has also been involved in teaching the subjects of atomic and molecular spectroscopy to M.Sc. students
Subodh is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Infrared and Raman Discussion Group.
