Jane joined the department early 2009, as the manager of a team of professional services officers and administrators. Jane and her team are responsible for PhD/MPhil student admissions and administration, project support - pre and post award, research support and other departmental activities across MERI, all of which are undertaken in conjunction and in support of research staff and students in the Institute.
Jane's background is in both Higher and Further Education after having worked at Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds and Barnsley College. Her experience ranges from undergraduate and postgraduate student support, RAE/REF, examinations, teaching & learning to writing bids, supporting and managing projects from funders such as ESF, ERDF, Skills Councils and others.
